12 Reasons to Drink More Water

The amount of water you consume each day plays an important role in keeping your body healthy. Approximately 70-75% of our body consists of water. Cheap and calorie free, it is essential to maintain the beauty and the good functioning of the body. Drinking a lot of water during the day gives you enormous health benefits. See below what they are.

1. Detoxify Your Body
Water consumption is vital for the proper functioning of the body. When we do not drink the right amount of water, toxic substances are harmful and are retained in the body. Adequate hydration ensures a good deal of blood, responsible for transporting nutrients to cells and removing toxins, preventing fatigue and loss of concentration. With more blood flowing, water facilitates the absorption of minerals and vitamins especially the B complex, which are water soluble, promoting fresher skin, brighter hair and healthy nails.

2. Digestive System
Water aids in the production of digestive enzymes, gastric juice, saliva and mucus throughout the gastrointestinal tract ensuring proper digestion and absorption of nutrients, moisturizes the food fiber, increasing the volume of the stool, regulating the functioning intestinal.

3. Renal Function
Water facilitates the filtering job of the kidneys, eliminating toxins and reducing the risk of developing infections and urinary calculi (stones).

4. Body Temperature Regulation
While conducting exercises and summer heat kicks in, sweating increases as cooling becomes the physiological mechanism of the body. Water regulates body temperature to absorb and release heat for production and evaporation of sweat.

5. Headache and Migraine

6. Dental Health
Water is important for the production of saliva, making it easier to chew and reduce food waste. Brushing your teeth combined with the ideal amount of saliva reduces the risk of tooth decay.

7. Protects the Eyes
Keeping the body with high water levels, protects dry eyes, which can lead to eye problems such as viruses and bacteria.

8. Helps in Weight Loss
The center of hunger and thirst are in the same brain structure called the hypothalamus. So many people confuse the feeling of thirst with hunger. Ensuring proper hydration the trend is to ingest a smaller amount of food and can assist in maintaining or even weight loss. Drinking cold water is better, because the body will heat it for subsequent absorption and it requires energy expenditure.

9. Prevents Cramps
Cramps appear when there is a hydroelectric imbalance in our muscles, causing an involuntary contraction of the muscles. Drinking water regularly helps keep the hydroelectric balance and the proper functioning of muscle cells.

10. Reduce Cancer Risk
Some studies indicate that water consumption also reduces the risk of bladder and colon cancer. Water destroys cancer causing agents reducing the risk of various cancers.

11. Healthy Skin
Water helps replenish skin tissue and to moisturize and increase its elasticity. When the body gets enough water, your skin will be moisturized and fresh, soft, shiny and smooth. It also helps your skin with scars, acne, wrinkles and other signs of ageing.
